2023 National Merit Scholarship Program Commended Student

Congratulations to SHS student Evelyn Haar for receiving a Letter Of Commendation for her exceptional academic promise. Evelyn placed among the top 50,000 students who took the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. According to k12academics.com, “the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is a multiple-choice standardized test administered by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) in the United States. An estimated 1.3 million high school juniors and sophomores take the test each year.”
