Many people seem to forget about seniors after they graduate from school. But this year at Stevens High School we want that to change. We will be interviewing the class of 2024 to talk about their time at Stevens, life lessons they have learned, memories they will carry with them and advice they want to share with the underclassmen.
Out first interview was with Talan Lunders.
Talan Lunders has grown up in Rapid City attending Corral Drive and then Southwest Middle School. He has played football all his life and continued when he got to Stevens. He is also a part of the track & field team. He says, “Being a part of the football team and the bond that the defense has is what I enjoy the most about senior year so far.”
A part of the National Honor Society, Lunders is also a thinking man with much advice for upcoming freshman stating, “Make sure to not get caught in the transition from middle to high school because it is very different even though you think it is not.”
When the year ends, Lunders said “I am going to miss seeing all the people I grew up with and lifelong friends.” Lunder’s plans after high school are to attend the U.S. Naval academy and study marine architecture and naval engineering as well as run track.
We all wish you luck Talan!
