Are you looking for a way to support less privileged schools in Rapid City? Then, consider donating to the Stevens’ Valentine’s Day Book Drive! This February 14th, Stevens’ students will distribute children’s books to support students at Horace Mann Elementary. Started by the Stevens High School Tutoring Group, the drive aims to promote quality education across all Rapid City schools, despite socioeconomic status. By providing gently used books to children, Stevens hopes to encourage kindness and foster a love of reading. All big changes start small, and the more donations and volunteers, the better!
How can you contribute?
Donate: If you have children’s books you no longer need, consider donating them to the Stevens Book Drive! Donations can be dropped off to Mrs. Conway at the school.
Buy: Valentines can be purchased for either $1 or a used book. Valentines will be available in the school’s link the week leading up to Valentine’s Day.
Volunteer: Students interested in volunteering to help with book collection, sorting, and distribution can contact Tutoring Group Leader Hayley Cunningham for more details.
Contact: More simply, spread the word to friends and family!
Let’s make this the best Valentine’s Day for Horace Mann! Don’t be heartless this February 14th –help the Stevens Book Drive!
