No matter how strong or how athletic you are doesn’t matter, golf has a lot to do with mentality. Your mind and your attitude truly determine on how well you play. Staying focused and calm is best. Each player has to adjust their knowledge depending on the weather, course, and the layout of each hole.
Senior, Brookee Cadwallader says, “I think golf is a fun hobby to do, I have days where I am not doing well, and then the next day I will play well. I think it’s crazy how easily your outcome of game can change.” This can be challenging as a golfer, because each play could be an unknown. Golfing is fun for those who enjoy being outdoors, realizing, hanging with friends, and having a good time.

Sophomore Brady Waddell says, “I think golf is a fun hobby, I do baseball so it sometimes messes with my brain on which swing I am supposed to be doing, but I think its fun to see how far I can hit the ball and compete with my friends.” Baseball and golf are very opposite, one swings down the other sings in the air. This can totally mess with wither swing if you aren’t careful enough.
Golf is a sport that requires a lot of skill, focus, and patience, making it a fun challenge for players of all ages. Unlike other sports that are often played in teams or involve intense physical contact, golf is usually played by individuals. However, there are times where it is a team sport like college or high school golf. The goal of the game is simple: to hit a ball into a series of holes on a course using the fewest strokes possible. Golf courses typically have 18 holes, although there are shorter courses with 9 holes. Each hole ranges from 3 strokes to 5 strokes. Some can have many more! The sport is often enjoyed for its slower pace, allowing players to enjoy the outdoors while navigating different challenges.
Golf has a long history and is enjoyed by people all over the world, both as a hobby and as a professional sport. Major tournaments like The Masters, the U.S Open, and the British Open are watched by millions of people and are some of the biggest events in the sport. Whether played casually with friends or at a professional level, golf is a sport that mixes challenges, fun, and friendship.
