WellFully was originally founded as Wellspring in 1990, and in 2017, the name was changed to WellFully. The purpose of WellFully is to help kids with mental and addiction issues. WellFully also provides a safe place for them to stay, at least until they better themselves. It’s also here to teach kids that it’s okay to have mental or addiction issues, also to help them find coping skills to help deal with these issues. WellFully is here to help youth become successful with their education and overcome mental and addiction issues. Also to help them find planting seeds to be successful.
The client’s age level goes from 12-17, and the average length of stay for a client depends on the program. Addiction Recovery Unit (ARU) is a 45-day length of stay and the Psychiatric Residential treatment Facility (PRTF) stay can be six months up to a year.
WellFully also provides aftercare and relapse prevention support, such as IOP (Intensive Outpatient) classes. Individual one-on-one sessions with counselors are also provided.
In order to work at WellFully you need a high school diploma or your GED. It also depends on the position at WellFully you are hired for. There is certain knowledge you need to know, but in general you must have a good heart and passion for youth. WellFully provides education to the clients. ARU has a teacher on hand, PRTF is provided a teacher from the Rapid City Area School District.
