Does Stevens have the best student sections? From a student perspective like me I think that student sections are one of the most influential and impactful things that can be present at a game. I think they are influential and impactful because they can help the home teams players stay in the zone and make them want to preform good in front of their school. Also, I think they are good because they can help get in the other team’s head and get them out of the zone.
I interviewed Senior Elias Gillen, Senior Judah Coyne, and Sophomore Victor Hickman and asked each of them what their favorite theme that they had participated in Senior Elias Gillen told me that his favorite theme was the minion theme because everyone participated and looked good. Senior Judah Coyne told me that his favorite theme was business because he felt that it helps him set the tone for the team and the student section. Sophomore Victor Hickman told me his favorite was the recent themes of Christmas during Christmas break because everyone was dressed to the theme, and it got him in the Christmas spirit.
I also asked the three boys if they feel that a student section can have an affect on the game being played. Elias, Judah, and Victor all gave similar answers in telling me that the student section can help keep the home team motivated and get into the opposing teams head. Overall student sections can help a team win or lose a game.
As someone who participates in the student section whenever I can I believe we have one of the best student sections because we are loud for our team and we are also good at getting in the other teams head.
