Congratulations to Ava Holzwarth and Tate Van Beek for being chosen as Stevens Raiders “Athlete of the Week!” Here are their nominations:
Ava Holzwarth (Soccer): Ava has lead the 9-0-1 Raiders girls soccer team in two important games this week. Against Central HS- a 3 – 2 win, Ava scored 2-key goals to push the Lady Raiders pass the feisty Cobblers. Ava scored the go ahead goal with 2 minutes left in the game. On Tuesday, 9.15.2025, Ava scored a hat trick as the #1 Lady Raiders defeated the #3 Pierre Governors 3 – 1. Ava’s leadership as a captain and a game day leader has kept the Lady Raiders competitive in all games.
Tate Van Beek (Cross Country): Tate placed 5th out of 251 runners at the Nike Heartland Preview beating last year’s A and AA Individual State Champions. He led the boys to a 4th place finish in a powerhouse meet that included top teams from South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska.
