Good things come in threes, and another notch in the Knowledge Bowl belt is a prime example. Finishing off with an undefeated season, the Stevens Raiders A team brought home the third Knowledgebowl championship in as many years.
Like last year it came down to the final round, but this time it was not completely in their control. After taking third in the writing portion and then second in another round, the team was not guaranteed a title. It all came down to the final round. Stevens won their match moving them into a potential second place finish, but their fate lay in the hands of the Spearfish, Rapid City Christian and Belle Fourche matchup. With either Spearfish or RCC winning, Stevens would finish in second. As luck would have it, Belle pulled out the “W” sending Stevens to the top of the podium for the third year in a row.
