Congratulations to Rachael Bunger, Maxsim Mullin, and Rylee Knispel for being chosen as Stevens Raiders “Performer of The Week!”
Rachael Bunger (Orchestra): Rachael, a junior in the Stevens HS Orchestra, took home the top prize in the senior division of the Black Hills Symphony’s Young Artist Competition this past weekend. The competition is open to high school instrumentalists in grades 9 through 12 and living within a 180-mile radius of Rapid City and participants perform their piece live in front of a panel of judges. In addition to taking home a sweet monetary price, Rachael will play her solo, Camille Saint-Saens Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso Op. 28, at the BH Symphony’s concert on February 28. Congratulations, Rachael!

Maxsim Mullin (Orchestra): Maxsim, a freshman flute player in the Stevens Band and Symphonic Orchestra, was awarded first place in the junior division of the Black Hills Symphony’s Young Artist Competition this past weekend! The Young Artist Competition is an instrumental music competition for serious young musicians in grades: 9 through 12 (or equivalent ages.) Congratulations, Max!

Rylee Knispel (Orchestra): Rylee, a freshman clarinet and viola player in the Stevens Cadet Band, Sinfonia and Symphonic Orchestras, received an Honorable Mention in the junior division of the Black Hills Symphony’s Young Artist Competition this past weekend.
