The recent Pops concert of the spring season at Rapid City Stevens High School used a theme of “Heroes and Villains.” And to be honest, it was a lot more entertaining to watch than many other concerts. They chose various heroes and villains from Hollywood and pop culture to perform music for. But what was crazy is the fact that they prepared for the concert within only 11 days.
Sure, it didn’t initially look like enough time at all. The idea of learning the music, doing the choreography, and coordinating everybody within two weeks seemed like it would be incredibly difficult. However, the process went quickly, and they had much to cover in such a short period of time. Anyway, they made sure that the concert was a success.
The theme also made this concert different from other concerts. Some songs had more power and drama, while some were light and happy. The contrast between songs about heroes and villains made it interesting for the audience since the atmosphere kept changing. The choir’s shirts and lighting were also used to reflect the theme.
By the end of the concert, it was clear how much hard work went into it. The “Heroes and Villains” theme made the show entertaining, but the fast preparation made it even more impressive. It ended up being a concert that people will probably remember for a long time, not just because of the music, but because of how much the choir was able to accomplish in such a short amount of time.
